Sandy - The Aftermath

All is well at the House of Red.  The winds have died down but it is gey dreich.  A cursory glance shows a wayward branch in the lea behind and a bit of the neighbour's fence was knocked over.  The soaked ground will be perfect for wintering the garden.  We never lost power and, amazingly, there is still some wine left!

My thoughts and prayers go out in particular to all those brave men and women who risk their lives in times like this to keep us cozy.

This Video Is A Must See

found at I am not taking voting advice from a moron with a tramp stamp on her shoulder
I quite agree.

Ready for Sandy

I am as ready as I will ever be for this frankenstorm.  I will be on the southwest side of the storm so I am not too concerned.  I do not expect any power outages here. The wind started last night and is lovely at this point.

And She Returns

Well!  I am back home.  A bit tired, but enjoyed the act of working for my tea.
To sum up this past week - Benghazi scandal is blowing up in Obummer's face, this classless act puts out an ad campaign comparing a vote for him like giving up virginity, he calls Romney a bullshitter, Italy convicts scientists for not predicting earthquakes, the Rolling Stones do another farewell tour, Frankenstorm  Sandy is heading towards the midAtlantic, the democrats are still lying, those peace loving muslims are still murdering, Taylor Swift is becoming the John Mayer of the female pop scene, and I am still looking for full time employment.
Did I leave anything out?

Not That Many Will Notice

I am going to be away for a business trip.  No, I do not have a job yet, this is a temporary assignment.  I probably won't have access (nor the time or energy) to a computer.  It is not like I am particularly a prolific poster, however rest assured I will be back soon.  In the meantime, MiniCapt sent this cuteness and I told him I would share.

Unbelievable

I did not watch the debate between Ryan & Biden.  From what snippets I have heard I probably would have turned it off after a few minutes.  But what I find truly hard to believe is that there are people out there who believe the present administration is not only doing a good job but a respectful one.  I have never in my short life seen such rampant lunacy.  It is as if there is a perpetual full moon.

Some Debates Just Leave A Mess

Over at Dear Duffers there is a lively philosophical debate.  I am sure it is going to leave a mess.  At Mr. Duff's request, I am getting ready to clear up after them
once I find the maid's outfit.

Body Language

Over at Gateway Pundit this is referred to as a smirk.  I read in his face of a child caught out by his naughty behaviour and he is about to get time out.

My Obligatory Debate Post

I only watched parts of the debate but managed to watch the end.  After all, there were many other priorities (Endeavor, L&O UK) and the debates won't change my mind.  So this morning I was pleasantly surprised to hear the overwhelming positive responses that even CNN couldn't spin.  The fact that Chris Matthews is upset is especially "thrilling."
I did notice the body language between the two.  Romney held his head high, Obama looked like he didn't want to be there.  I heard earlier on the radio, the O had said preparing for the debates is a drag.  Well if you don't want the job, bucko, quit!  Nobody but your ego and your baby mama is stopping you.
Reading the reactions on FB were rather amusing.  My favourite was "it was boring."  Actually, he should have posted HE was boring.
I might actually watch the next ones.  Now I will go read what the blogosphere has to say.

Truly Denigrating

On the Obama campaign website
I hear it is now gone.  Thanks for taking the screen shot for prosperity.
Now what is the "republican war on women" about?  At least they haven't focused on women's private parts.  warning: may contain offensive images
I thought the cry from the "progressives" about birth control and abortion is "stay out of my bedroom/body"  Yet they are very willing to display such privacy to of all and sundry.  C'mon guys and gals, make up your minds.  You are the ones bringing the debate down to base behaviour.
