good night

I am leaving blogging.  It was fun while it lasted, but I realise that no one really cares what I have to say.  Update:  Actually , it is harder than I thought.  I wanted to post every day and found out I couldn't. I also would have liked to express myself more openly and found out I am a very private person who keeps to myself.  That realization was odd because if you would meet me in person I can be quite a chatterbox.  I just cannot translate that to the blog.
I also need to focus on other things before the chaos tumbles around me.
Thank you all who did visit.
God bless you all.

Bleed the Monster

Wilson has some good thoughts on what we can do to pay less taxes.  I would love to hear additional suggestions.
I try hard to do business with like minded.  I don't have liberal close friends - only liberal sisters and their spawn.

It even comes with its built in teleprompter.

Enough!

sweetie, if you have a penis you are a male.  Call yourself what you want, but males should not be allowed in women's locker rooms or bathrooms.  Cut it off if you want to pretend you are a female.  I am really sick of this sick society.
(I originally used the words men and woman in this post, but decided this sicko is neither.)

A Challenge

Someone sent me a challenge:

not sure what the challenge is but I decided not to tell everyone it was my birthday yesterday.
Did I meet the challenge?

Manners

Letitia Baldridge passed away, RIP.
Her passing brings up a subject I would like to address.  Manners for men wearing hats.
Yes, dear sirs, you remove them in a restaurant.  Stay classy.  Baseball caps are not hats and should not be worn unless you are on a baseball field.  If you are reluctant to remove your hat because of lack of hair, remember bald is sexy.
Only 3 of the men below are wearing hats; the others look like idiots.

Paco has excellent advice on how to wear a suit.

Sandy - The Aftermath

All is well at the House of Red.  The winds have died down but it is gey dreich.  A cursory glance shows a wayward branch in the lea behind and a bit of the neighbour's fence was knocked over.  The soaked ground will be perfect for wintering the garden.  We never lost power and, amazingly, there is still some wine left!

My thoughts and prayers go out in particular to all those brave men and women who risk their lives in times like this to keep us cozy.

I quite agree.

Ready for Sandy

I am as ready as I will ever be for this frankenstorm.  I will be on the southwest side of the storm so I am not too concerned.  I do not expect any power outages here. The wind started last night and is lovely at this point.

And She Returns

Well!  I am back home.  A bit tired, but enjoyed the act of working for my tea.
To sum up this past week - Benghazi scandal is blowing up in Obummer's face, this classless act puts out an ad campaign comparing a vote for him like giving up virginity, he calls Romney a bullshitter, Italy convicts scientists for not predicting earthquakes, the Rolling Stones do another farewell tour, Frankenstorm  Sandy is heading towards the midAtlantic, the democrats are still lying, those peace loving muslims are still murdering, Taylor Swift is becoming the John Mayer of the female pop scene, and I am still looking for full time employment.
Did I leave anything out?

Not That Many Will Notice

I am going to be away for a business trip.  No, I do not have a job yet, this is a temporary assignment.  I probably won't have access (nor the time or energy) to a computer.  It is not like I am particularly a prolific poster, however rest assured I will be back soon.  In the meantime, MiniCapt sent this cuteness and I told him I would share.

Unbelievable

I did not watch the debate between Ryan & Biden.  From what snippets I have heard I probably would have turned it off after a few minutes.  But what I find truly hard to believe is that there are people out there who believe the present administration is not only doing a good job but a respectful one.  I have never in my short life seen such rampant lunacy.  It is as if there is a perpetual full moon.

Some Debates Just Leave A Mess

Over at Dear Duffers there is a lively philosophical debate.  I am sure it is going to leave a mess.  At Mr. Duff's request, I am getting ready to clear up after them
once I find the maid's outfit.

Body Language

Over at Gateway Pundit this is referred to as a smirk.  I read in his face of a child caught out by his naughty behaviour and he is about to get time out.

My Obligatory Debate Post

I only watched parts of the debate but managed to watch the end.  After all, there were many other priorities (Endeavor, L&O UK) and the debates won't change my mind.  So this morning I was pleasantly surprised to hear the overwhelming positive responses that even CNN couldn't spin.  The fact that Chris Matthews is upset is especially "thrilling."
I did notice the body language between the two.  Romney held his head high, Obama looked like he didn't want to be there.  I heard earlier on the radio, the O had said preparing for the debates is a drag.  Well if you don't want the job, bucko, quit!  Nobody but your ego and your baby mama is stopping you.
Reading the reactions on FB were rather amusing.  My favourite was "it was boring."  Actually, he should have posted HE was boring.
I might actually watch the next ones.  Now I will go read what the blogosphere has to say.

Truly Denigrating

On the Obama campaign website
I hear it is now gone.  Thanks for taking the screen shot for prosperity.
Now what is the "republican war on women" about?  At least they haven't focused on women's private parts.  warning: may contain offensive images
I thought the cry from the "progressives" about birth control and abortion is "stay out of my bedroom/body"  Yet they are very willing to display such privacy to of all and sundry.  C'mon guys and gals, make up your minds.  You are the ones bringing the debate down to base behaviour.

Vandalism is not Free Speech

What would one expect of those who have no concept of personal responsibility and accountability? They come to this country with their dark ages theology from their backwater hell holes thinking it is all fun and games.  They have no concept of freedom and what it takes to uphold and preserve that freedom.  That is just a word to them.  In their feeble ignorant minds, they think it means they can do whatever they want if they just spout off the right words.  IF the eejit in the video is an American citizen, I would like to know how she passed the test.

Prominent members of Chicago's black community

Thanks to dear duffers for the link and now a new blog to read.  The list is getting longer. There are many wonderful people out there who can do more than just put two sentences together.  Not only do they have brains, but they use them for the betterment of our society.

Disgusting

Our embassies in Egypt and Libya are being attacked and our beloved government blames our free speech for hurting muslim feelings.
This asshole in the WH and his cult followers should all be tried for treason.
I am so sick and tired of this pandering and really wish I had access to a NB for I would set it loose on the entire islam area and wipe them all out.  My apologies to all those who would lose their innocent and brave loved ones because of my annihilation tactics, but sometime needs must.  Remember Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the blitz of the allies to Dresden, Mainz, Hamburg, Pforzheim and Kassel.

September 11

On September 11, 2001 19 Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 fuel laden jets and flew into the Twin Towers in NY, the Pentagon in DC; the 4th never reached its target.  It hit the ground in PA after a brave attempt to wrestle control away from the terrorists.
The world was stunned by this heinous and cowardly act.
Except
Let us never forget this image.
Or this one
Let us remember these

Willful Blindness

Bob Belvedere  has an incredible post in response to this essay
Read the essay first, and then Bob's critique.
I do not understand why any conservative/realist should ever be apologetic for hrh bho.  The man was never what or who he presented himself to be and has truly made dupes out of millions.  If only they had done their research before voting for him.  But then again, I told many people about him and if they did not outright laugh at me, they ignored me.  One person said she and her husband voted for O because they did not want another four years of Bush.  I reminded her Bush was not running.  She had no response to that.  No one should.

It Rots The Soul

The Trouble With Dope
The aspect that seems to be missing from modern debates is about the morality of Not Being a Complete Waste of Space. Whether it is the pothead or the drunk or anyone else who is merely occupying the world rather than living in it, it is entirely legitimate to criticise those who make no effort to pull their weight in the world or assume that society will be there to catch them when they fall.
Great article at spiked.
I had a doctor that particularly hated people smoking marijuana.  he said that booze, cocaine, heroin will leave the body in a relatively short time, however mj sticks for weeks.  He looked at usage purely from a health point of view.

Words Without Deeds

My favourite loveable old duffer at Duff and Nonsense has a wonderful essay on the one's brother.
We've got the wrong one
Everytime I read about the one and the lies constantly spouted from that hole in his face I think of this song from My Fair Lady

so Mr.O, I say this to you:
Words! Words! Words! I'm so sick of words!
I get words all day through;
First from him, now from you! Is that all you blighters can do?

Tit for Tat

lewd conduct
From what I have been reading the conduct alleged is far worse than anything I have heard about men's behaviour over my years in an office environment.  Personally, other than the odd colourful joke that was more embarrassment than harassment, I have never experienced this behaviour in the office.  Maybe it is that look I give.....
If it is true, may the book be thrown at all of them.  Women have been degrading men (and boys in the education system) for decades.  Reputations and careers have been ruined with the merest unproven hint.  If we are all created equal and in G-d's image, than we all should treat each other with dignity, at least common courtesy.

What Tyranny Looks Like

The Most Divisive Campaign - Sultan Knish
There is not a single Obama voter anywhere in the land who believes that another four years of him will make this country better. Not a single one from coast to coast. No, what they believe is that he will make the country a worse place for those people that they hate. That he will have four more years to sink their ideas deeper in the earth, regardless of how many families go hungry and how many fathers kill themselves because they can no longer take care of their families. What they believe is that Obama will grant their group more special privileges and the rest of the country can go to hell.

Liars

“People think that a liar gains a victory over his victim. What I’ve learned is that a lie is an act of self-abdication, because one surrenders one’s reality to the person to whom one lies, making that person one’s master, condemning oneself from then on to faking the sort of reality that person’s view requires to be faked…The man who lies to the world, is the world’s slave from then on…There are no white lies, there is only the blackest of destruction, and a white lie is the blackest of all.”

The Four Witches of California

"Frankly, I don't know what it is about California, but we seem to have a strange urge to elect really obnoxious women to high office. I'm not bragging, you understand, but no other state, including Maine, even comes close. When it comes to sending left-wing dingbats to Washington, we're Number One. There's no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on 'Macbeth'. The four of them are like jackasses who happen to possess the gift of blab. You don't know if you should condemn them for their stupidity or simply marvel at their ability to form words."

Coexist? Don't make me laugh

And here, Tony Blair has grown sterner. After September 11, 2001, he now thinks, he underestimated the power of the bad ''narrative’’ of Islamist extremists. That narrative – that ''The West oppresses Islam” – ''is still there. If anything, it has grown.’’ It seeks ''supremacy not coexistence’’. He fears that ''The West is asleep on this issue’’, and yet it is the biggest challenge. In Africa, all the good things he sees through his Africa Governance Initiative face ''this threat above all others’’. In ''Sudan, Mali, Nigeria, outbursts in Tanzania and Kenya’’, sectarian Islamist extremism is the great and growing problem. By implication, Mr Blair seems to doubt President Obama’s outreach to Islam, because it tends to deal with the wrong people. Since Obama’s Cairo speech in 2009, ''the whole context has changed’’. The Muslim Brotherhood is taking over large parts of the Arab world, and ''the people without the loudest voices are desperate for our leadership’’.''We must engage, but also challenge,’’ he warns. The Middle East ''won’t achieve democracy unless it understands that democracy is a way of thinking as well as voting. The key question is how the majority treats the minority.’’ The West, he says, has been too slow to help the people of Iran: ''It is a great civilisation. The people would undoubtedly boot their government out at the ballot box if they could. It is important they know we are prepared to help them. A Persian spring would be very welcome.’’
from ricochet  via et cetera

The rest of the interview is crap.  He never owns up to the mistakes he made, and oh boy, he did an excellent job of that!  The final sentence - A Persian spring would be very welcome - is one of the most irresponsible remarks I have heard lately, given what happened with the Arab spring.  His conversion to the Catholic Church either hasn't been complete or he just won't let go of his idiot idealogies.  Or both.

Ok, It Is My Turn

Heartbreaking

again Paco says it so eloquently
It is such a tragedy when random acts of violence occur in public spaces.  Everyone tries to blame.. something, anything, anyone, everyone.  But history has shown there is no rhyme or reason when someone snaps and does something horrific.  They just do.  And we rationals try to understand.  We never will.  Evil exists.

Hey, I killed it this afternoon. Man, I've got so much shit going on in my life with family and III stuff that it was getting to be a real chore. I was having to force myself to go post something, you know? When it gets to that point, it's time to piss on the fire, call in the dogs and head for the Big House.
Maybe I'll have time to hit this daily now instead of Saturdays only.

mendacity, manipulativeness, corruption, and toxicity

Today's job market
The Thinking Housewife gave it that title.  I would say "Today's job culture"
I wholeheartedly agree with both ladies' postings.  Especially this:

The worst environments to work for are those that are run by women, or demographically dominated by women, or run or dominated by homosexual men. These places are nightmares of bitchery, cattiness and all the words the female reader used above: mendacity, manipulativeness, corruption and toxicity.  There are quite a few of these, especially in the so-called glamour industries.
My advice to any young woman is to work for a company that is run by a married man. Race not important, but odds are he will be white or Asian. The most important thing is that you work for a grown married man. They are obviously not perfect, and are not saints, and you always have to be very careful at work, but working for a straight married man will increase your chances of job satisfaction by an order of magnitude.

Michelle covers it beautifully
Did Jane Pitt realize that when she wrote that letter to the editor that she would create such a brouhaha? She probably didn't; afterall she wrote to her local paper.  Neverless the tolerant progressives (isn't that an oxymoron?) rear their true black hearts once again in order to try to silence those who speak of reality.

Laugh of the Day - This isn't about me

Obama's latest fundraising email (Breitbart)
and the funniest comment:

BORGHESIUSMaybe he should recast his fundraising letter as a Nigerian e-mail scam.
"Dear freind:
My late father, the supreme commander of Kenya, was unjustly dispossessed of his rightful inheritance by the British colonial masters.  Fortunately, on of the bank recently found a inactiv account containing 100,230,000 US dollers. I was refered to you because of your stirling reputation amoung persons in your field.  If you simply provide your social security number, and bank routing number, I will be able to transfer this sum to you for safekeeping until after the next election.
Thak you for your Ongoing support.

to The Boys of Summer

Happy birthday to our boys of summer - all the men in my family were born between Memorial Day and Labor Day.  To both of my grandfathers, my father, my twin brothers, my 2 nephews, my brother in law and his twin, my sister's stepdaughter's husband, and my other brother in law.  Today we celebrate!
