On September 11, 2001 19 Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked 4 fuel laden jets and flew into the Twin Towers in NY, the Pentagon in DC; the 4th never reached its target. It hit the ground in PA after a brave attempt to wrestle control away from the terrorists.
The world was stunned by this heinous and cowardly act.
Except
Let us never forget this image.
Or this one
Let us remember these

Thanks, I thought your little tribute was great so I pinched it.
Complacency is not a fit state for us to be in after 9/11.
I don't think there was ever a belief that the passengers on Flight 93 died trying to take control of the plane. All evidence, including recorded calls and final conversations with loved ones, is clear that the passengers knew they would die, but were determined, with staggering bravery, that the plane would never reach its destination, and therefore would not be used to kill others.
Every person on that plane knew that three other planes had already been used as weapons to murder as many people as possible. They weren't going to allow that to happen. They knew they would die trying to prevent more deaths.
There were hundreds of acts of extraordinary, unfathomable, heroism on that day, not least being on Flight 93.
Yes, and thanks Kae.
Well said Caz
